Applications for our 2026 Story Grant have closed.
Thank you to every nonprofit that shared their mission with us. We’re reviewing every application carefully and will announce our selection the week of July 13.
What the 1708 Story Grant Was
1708 Media is an Emmy Award-winning video production company built specifically for nonprofits. We’ve spent years helping mission-driven organizations tell their stories, and this summer, we did it for free.
The 1708 Story Grant was our way of giving back to the Central Texas nonprofit community. We asked one Central Texas nonprofit to share their mission with us, and we’ll produce a polished 60-second brand video for the selected organization at the same quality we deliver on paid engagements.
Every applicant told us about their organization and why video storytelling would make a difference for them right now. We’re reviewing every submission carefully and choosing the organization we believe we can help most.

The Story Grant runs once. Working with nonprofits is what we do the rest of the year. From a single mission video to a full donor-storytelling system that carries a nonprofit through a gala, a campaign, and every stewardship moment in between, our clients are mission-driven organizations who want their year-round storytelling to feel as intentional as their programs.
A working engagement starts with understanding what your year actually looks like: the moments that need lift, the audiences you’re trying to reach, and how video can carry weight where it counts. From there we plan production around your calendar, not ours.

What the Selected Nonprofit Receives
The selected nonprofit will receive:
- One full day of professional video production with a multi-person crew, professional cameras, audio, and lighting
- A polished 60-second brand/mission video
- Two rounds of collaborative revisions
- Final delivery in formats ready for their website and social channels
The 1708 Story Grant is an initiative of 1708 Media. We are not affiliated with any third-party platform or contest. Selection is made solely by the 1708 Media team.
