Teacher Retirement System of Texas

We partnered with the Teacher Retirement System of Texas to concept and deliver a full campaign encouraging members to sign up through the My TRS portal. This multi-video initiative targeted members at every career stage, making enrollment easier to understand and act on.

Our Approach


The Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) selected 1708 Media as a creative partner through a multi-year contract. Our work with TRS includes a wide range of services from campaign video production to photography, podcast support and more.


For this particular project, we were asked to create a multi-video campaign promoting the My TRS online portal, increasing awareness and driving member engagement across all career stages.


Our 1708 Media team led the project from end-to-end - transforming TRS’s high-level goals into a compelling video campaign that made enrolling in My TRS clear, simple and relatable for members.


Our team developed three distinct commercial concepts, each tailored to a different audience segment:


  • Early-career members

  • Mid-career members

  • Members nearing or in retirement


For each concept, we produced a full set of video lengths (:60 / :30 / :15 / :08),  resulting in 12 total deliverables.


1708 Media handled the entire creative process, including:


  • Scripting and storyboarding

  • Talent sourcing and casting

  • Location scouting

  • Hair, makeup and wardrobe coordination

  • Multiple days of production

  • Post-production and final delivery for digital, social and internal platforms


This campaign is one example of how we make it easy for busy teams at large organizations like TRS to translate important messages into effective, high-quality video creative content.
